Description:
Temporary lighting, in contrast to permanent lighting, is installed on a work site for a brief period of time. Plastic lamp guards are used to safeguard the lights while ensuring optimum illumination. Individual lights can be kept safe with heavy duty guards, or temporary light strings are useful in places that require a lot of light. Sockets are needed to correctly insert lamps into the plastic lamp guards. Select a socket style that suits your light bulb's base properly.
Typically, medium base light bulbs with an output of 200 watts or less are used with pin-type receptacles. Hooks may or may not be included with pin-type receptacles. The hooks make it possible to connect wires to metal pins without concern. Pigtail holes may also come with or without hooks. To create temporary lighting, these sockets attach bulbs to leads that are connected to an electrical connection.
